DCI Reveals 4 Kilimani Homes Burglars

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) arrested a gang of four notorious criminals that they believe are responsible for breaking into homes in Kilimani.

The four; Alex Nderi alias ‘Ade’, Peter Kaari alias ‘Pinches’/’Walker’, Lawrence Alusala alias ‘Nico’, Veronica Kamau alias’Veroh’ were on Monday arraigned in court.

The DCI stated that after the robbery incidents were reported, detectives launched investigations

After CCTV footage was retrieved and analysed, a black Toyota Prado with fake number plates was identified & later traced to a broker who had hired it to the suspects.

Upon interrogation, one of the suspects led the sleuths to Kwihota, Ruiru, where they recovered a bunch of master keys, tools used to pick locks and a firearm loaded with 14 rounds of ammunition which will undergo forensic investigation.

DCI revealed that they also detained two vehicles and suspect that the gun had been stolen from a Chinese national.

The arrest comes days after a burglary incident in Kilimani was reported by Kenyans.co.ke on February 15.

The victim had accused her house help of stealing her safe and even reported her at Kileleshwa Police Station.

“She kept on insisting she was innocent. We decided to retrieve the CCTV footage only to see the man climb floor after floor,” the building caretaker stated.

A detective at the Kilimani police division suspects the burglar could be colluding with security guards in the affected areas.
