Mutilated because of rituals Plight of Albinos

Since 2014 at least 18 albinos have been killed, another five have been abducted and are still missing. And if it weren’t for alert locals, Agnes’ youngest daughter Chakuputsa would be one of them. She was grabbed by three men while her mother was out working the fields. Agnes describes how villagers chased after the men who eventually dumped the child in the bushes nearby. It turned out one of the attackers was a relative, someone, Agnes tells Amnesty, she had considered like a brother. This, the community says, is all too common.
Tanzania has one of the highest rates of albinism in the world, at one in 1,500 people. Recently however ten children who were  kidnapped in Tanzania have been found dead with their body parts mutilated, authorities told CNN .Tanzania’s deputy health minister Faustine Ndugulile said all 10 children had been missing since December in Njombe district, south west Tanzania.Their bodies were discovered last week after police launched a search operation in the area. “So far, we have found 10 bodies, and most of their private parts and teeth had been removed,” Ndugulile said. “These murders are linked to witchcraft practices because that is the trend for such crimes, where herbalists ask people to get these human parts for money rituals,” he added. The children, some as young as seven, were kidnapped from their homes last month.

The vice is not in Tanzania as there is a girl lucky enough to have escaped the jaws of these monsters when they tried to abduct her for rituals in Malawi .The incidences are on the rise and authorities need to act fast on the issue before it becomes a widespread pandemic.

Albinos all over Africa are humans just as we are , they just have a rare skin condition and this in turn makes them be a target of those who  live in beliefs that they poses supernatural abilities. It is plain murder in whatever way you may try to see it , plain evil.
