Moses Kuria kissed and betrayed in his State House campaign

Legislators allied to Deputy President William Ruto have clashed with Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria over his interest in the presidential race in 2022.

Speaking in Nyeri during the second death anniversary of the late Nderitu Gachagua, Laikipia Women Rep Chatherine Waruguru and Purity Ngirici (Kirinyaga) joined Kiambu Governor Ferdinard Waititu in telling the outspoken MP off.

Ngirici asked anyone who had their eyes on the 2022 seat to shelve their ambitions until after 2032 when DP Ruto leaves office.

The leaders threw their weight behind Ruto who was at the anniversary saying that the Mt Kenya region would be supporting the second-in-command’s quest for the top job.

Kuria dismissed the salvo of verbal attacks and said: “I’m not vying in your house,so keep off”

DP Ruto who was in attendance steered clear of the discussion and instead, asked the leaders to focus on implementing the Big Four Agenda.

“We do not want to go back to our terrible political past where we had hatred and tribalism. I give my commitment that we will transform the country by focusing on development and I urge all leaders to follow this path,” Ruto said.

Kuria who previousy told Igambang’ombe residents that he would be announcing his party of choice in the days to come has been on a collision path with Kiambu Governor over his remarks.

Governor Waititu termed the MP as a detractor and asked him to come clean to the people as he was sending the wrong message from Kiambu.

Waititu insisted that Kiambu was committed towards voting for Ruto in 2022 on account of his ‘track record’ and willingness to ‘serve the people’.
