Man United fans react to injury laden 0-0 draw with liverpool

An injury-hit Manchester United held Liverpool to a dull 0-0 draw at Old Trafford. In a game where physios had more part to play in the first half, quality in both boxes was almost non-existent, especially from the visitors.

United had Juan Mata, Ander Herrera and Jesse Lingard hobbling off injured in the first half, forcing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to play all of his cards before he would have wished to.

The only moment that was worthwhile of the half came when Romelu Lukaku found some space around the box and the Belgian threaded a fine through ball for Lingard, who was one-on-one with the keeper.

But Alisson read the attacker’s intentions and made the save. That incidentally was Englishman’s last contribution to the game, who himself came on for injured Mata.

On the other hand, Liverpool had chances to feed more quality into the box but makeshift right-back James Milner failed to make use of the space he was afforded. The former Manchester City simply didn’t put anything of substance to attack.

Jurgen Klopp’s men also had a first half casualty when Roberto Firmino twisted his ankle and hobbled off injured. Daniel Sturridge came on to replace him.

The second half was all about United sitting back and being happy with a point. But, it was as if Liverpool were also content not to overdo things and be happy with a point, that eventually took them to the top of the table.

Here’s how United fans reacted after the game:
