Diamond Platnumz Sister Esma Platnumz yesterday ‘predicted’ Wema Sepetu’s defeat during top Awarding Ceremony.
The Tanzanian Actress Wema Sepetu was contesting under a category of the Best Actress and Best Film in Tanzanian.
Wema however did not receive this award after she faced defeat.
Esma Platnumz during an interview before the awards were given said that her wish is that other upcoming and talented artists manage to get that award instead so that there can be some level of competition and other young talents need to feel recognized.
She also added that it is not every time that people should attend an awarding ceremony and expect that the same people win.
Although Esma Platnumz might have said this in good faith, some of the Tanzanians refer to her as ‘a betrayer’ for not wishing that the Tanzanian Actress to bag the award.
Speaking after the awarding ceremony, Wema Sepetu mentioned that she is still glad that they tried despite not receiving any award.
Wema also says that it pains to have missed out on the Award but what served as a consolation is that she is not the only one who lost.
