Kirinyaga County joins 24-Hour Economy league

Kirinyaga county governor Anne Wiaguru has on Thursday commissioned streetlights project to ensure 24hr economy in the region.

“Over 1200 streetlights have lit up Kirinyaga County. Just commissioned the latest lighting project along Kagio-Kutus road at Kimicha & Kagio Markets. Kirinyaga can now have a 24hr economy, anticipate longer trading hours & improved public security” she tweeted.

Kenya Power is working with county governments across the country to ensure industrial, commercial and residential areas are well lit. This is aimed at fostering a 24-hour economy and economic growth and social well being.
