Real Madrid have been long eyeing Chelsea’s forward, Eden Hazard and are planning to use the same tactics which they lured Thibaout Courtois to the Bernabeu.
The Spanish giants were forced to play the waiting game in their swoop for keeper Courtois last summer, before they eventually signed him for a bargain £35million from Chelsea.
Thibaout Courtois had been preparing to move into the last year of his Chelsea contract having refused to accept a new deal at the Stamford Bridge.
The shot stopper continually looked to run his stay down, and made it very clear he wanted to move back to Madrid – and his children.
It seems like Real and Hazard are playing the same tactic ahead of a summer transfer. It is timely though as Hazard is out of contract at Chelsea at the end of next season and has declined to renew his deal.
That is likely to mean Real Madrid will be able to make a low ball offer to sign Hazard, with Chelsea desperate not to see one of their best players leave for free.
