Mary Wambui murder suspect set free

The late Mary Wambui’s husband, Joseph Kori has been set free after the detectives found out clearly that he was not involved in the murder of his wife. He was released from Gigiri Police Station by Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) officers.

The DCI officers interrogated Kori for a few minutes outside his cell but he was not returned. The officers later returned to the station and signed that they had released the suspect. Kori has been absolved of wrong-doing after detectives establishing that there was no way the businessman could have been at the murder scene.

Data from Kori’s cell phone coupled with a tracking device in his vehicle indicated that he was in Ngong, Kajiado County till 9pm. On February 13, the DCI was allowed to hold Kori, his mistress Judy Wangui and taxi driver Michael Mathenge for 14 more days by a Kiambu court. His release leaves the other two suspects in court.
