Cameroon’s National team

The World Football governing body, FIFA has instructed the Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT to settle unpaid salaries and match bonuses owed to players and clubs.
A letter signed by the Secretary General of FIFA, Fatma Samoura summons FECAFOOT to clear the outstanding debts in fourteen days or face sanctions.

The debt include unpaid salaries of footballers for the 2017/2018 football season.
The warning comes after the Syndicate of Professional Footballers in Cameroon(SYNAFOC) in synergy with FIFPro filed a complaint to FIFA.

The complaint indicates that the 24 league one and two football teams are faced with continuous financial difficulties.

Apart from outstanding debts, FIFA also calls on FECAFOOT put in place policies to improve the living and working conditions of professional footballers in Cameroon.
