The ex-England and United defender popped in to observe United’s training session on Thursday ahead of Sunday’s game against Liverpool.
The match takes on even more significance than normal this weekend as United have a chance to deal Liverpool a major blow in their hopes of lifting the Premier League title in May.
It’s fitting that Ferdinand was snapped alongside Solskjaer as both men scored famous late winners against Liverpool during their United playing careers.Solskjaer’s came in the FA Cup fourth round in 1999, as he followed up an 88th-minute Dwight Yorke equaliser with a 90th-minute winner to send United through.
Both Ferdinand and Solskjaer are loved by the United fans since they gave United late saves that saw them clinch various Cups.
