Embattled Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri’s stay at Stamford Bridge continues to grow in doubts after a string of poor performances from the Blues.

Sarri is apparently not in control of the Chelsea squad and is now considered an enemy of progress by Chelsea Fans who openly displayed their displeasure at him following a humiliating 2-0 defeat to Manchester United in an FA Cup Fifth Round tie.

Audible chants of “f*** Sarriball” rang around the ground during the second half on a humbling night for the ex-Napoli boss.

Well, it is now understood that Sarri wouldn’t have to wait for the Sack as a top Italian Club has come calling for him.

Sarri could also end up loosing this job this Sunday should Chelsea loose to Manchester City in the Caraboa Cup Finals at the Wembley Stadium.

Should he be sacked, he could be set for a return to Serie A with Roma, report Italian outlet La Repubblica.

They say Sarri met with Roma chief Franco Baldini for dinner in London earlier this week to discuss the potential switch.

Current Roma boss Eusebio Di Francesco’s future is unclear with sporting director Monchi strongly linked with an exit from the Giallorossi.

The two are closely linked and Manchester United and Arsenal have both been rumoured with a swoop for Monchi’s services.

Roma sit fifth in Serie A, 25 points adrift of leaders Juventus , and were humbled 7-1 by Fiorentina in the Coppa Italia quarter-final last month.
