Hate me for saving taxpayers money, Says Uhuru

President Uhuru Kenyatta has once again come out strong on the war against graft.

While speaking during in Kisii, President Kenyatta insisted that he will not be shaken when it comes to handling corruption.

“I want people to hate me on other issues, but not when I am working to save the taxpayers who are greatly contributing to the economy of this country,” he said.

He further added saying that his administration is working closely with the Judiciary to expedite graft cases, stating that swift justice is the only sure way to regain Kenyans’ confidence.

The president was accompanied by his Deputy William Ruto, ODM Leader Raila Odinga, Governors James Ongwae Kisii county, John Nyagarama Nyamira County and Wilbur Otichilo Vihiga County, Chief Justice David Maraga, Interior CS Fred Matiang’i, PS Susan Mochage and her Mining counterpart John Omenge.
