Tension arose at Arabal in Baringo South Sub County, after claims that reservists from a certain community were targeted by rustlers to be gunned downed.
Five police reservists have been killed in an ambush by cattle rustlers while two other who were injured are recuperating at Marigat Sub District Hospital.
The assailants also reportedly stole cattle and fled towards Chepkalacha in Tiaty East.
Several leaders have condemned the attack including Baringo South MP, Charles Kamuren.
He called for security to beefed up in the area.
