Safaricom Looking to Create 100 Millionaires in the Next 3 Months!

Safaricom has kickstarted the multi-million shilling campaign, which is geared to awarding 100 subscribers a cash prize of Kshs 1 million.

The promotion, which has been dubbed the Shukrani Kocho Kocho Kenya Nzima was launched on Tuesday, and has upto 250 million in cash prizes.

The promotion is looking to target 5 million of its customers with the aim of boosting loyalty.

How It Works

For every Sh 20 top-up, Safaricom customers will earn 10 entries, and for every Ksh 20 transacted via M-Pesa, a customer will receive one entry.

Safaricom will then hold a weekly draw for each of the different regions in Kenya, awarding the luck customer Sh 1 million, Sh 1,000, and daily airtime.

This is what Safaricom’s chief customer officer, Ms Sylvia Mulinge, had to say about the promotion:

“This is the biggest promotion that we have ever done where we will reward more than 100 customers across 47 counties with at least Sh1 million, which means we will have 100 millionaires across the country,”

Entries for the promotion include all Lipa-Na-Mpesa transactions, M-Pesa financial institution transfers, and sending and receiving money.

Indeed, at the grand-finale of the 10-week promotion, Safaricom will award one million shillings to a winner from each of the 47 counties.
