Litein town residents in Kericho have been engulfed in a state of shock and panic as of Wednesday morning. Thugs attacked a family of a prominent business man in Kericho County where they killed his wife and gang raped the daughters and maid leaving them with serious injuries.
The Businessman, three daughters and the maid were rushed to Litein Mission Hospital by neighbors who responded to the distress call. The tragic incident was confirmed by Bureti OCPD Ali Abdulahi saying investigations have ensued on the violent perpetrators.
Residents said they woke up to the shocking news and alerted the police. The incidents isn’t a first of it’s kind as recently a teacher and his wife were murdered in cold blood in the same town.
Tensions are high at the town as residents blocked the police from moving the body of the murdered woman from the scene. They are fear-struck as they demand for answers from the police in the rampant and spreading insecurity in the town.
S“People are being murdered and police are doing little to help us end it. We want answers,” said a resident.
