Fury as Nyamira witches escape with body of a little girl

In recent shocker, residents of Chinunda Village in Borabu, Nyamira County have been left with wide open mouth after an empty coffin of a baby girl, who was buried on Tuesday, was retrieved from River Keera on Wednesday.

The baby girl was buried at her parents’ home in Enchoro-Mosobeti area.

The little girl’s grandfather, Mochumbe Moronya, confirmed that the casket, which was discovered abandoned on the river banks, was the one they had used to lay their loved one to rest.

“The deceased was my daughter’s child. I removed her body from a Gucha hospital mortuary on Monday and buried her yesterday [Tuesday, February 19]. I am shocked that they [suspected witches] exhumed her body and disappeared with it,” said Moronya.

Eye witnesses say they found a book next to the coffin, which contained names of suspected witches.

This has inturn endangered witches lives as some of suspected wizards houses have already been set a blaze by furious residents.
