A gang has hacked a woman to death, seriously injured her husband before raping the couple’s three daughters in Litein trading centre, Bomet County.
Four of the family members, who survived the Wednesday morning attack, are undergoing treatment at Litein AIC Mission Hospital.
Samoget village residents woke up to the rude shock of the brutal attack against the family of a former politician.
“It is a gory scene; blood is splashed all over. The police have cordoned off the scene of crime. It is not known yet what the criminals were after,” said Mr Geoffrey Rono Katares, an area resident.
Litein police boss Mr Ali Abdi has confirmed the incident. Last year, a couple was killed in the town in a similar attack.
