Witnesses Narrate Macabre Shooting of City Advocate

A day after he was shot dead in his house, witnesses have come out to narrate the brazen day-light elimination of the city lawyer who ‘lived in fear.’

The watchman on dut that day at the estate told police the two men arrived at about 12.30pm and demanded that he lead them to Mr Chesang’s house.

After being tied and threatened, the assailants walked with the guard to lawyer Chesang’s house.

Shot peeping

Once at the house, one of the killers knocked on the door, but instead of opening, lawyer Chesang is said to have peeped through the window to determine who these people were.

Just in time, one of the killers spotted Chesang and opened fire on him.

“He seemed to have been living in fear. Instead of opening the door, he first peeped through the window, where he was shot,” said a police officer.

The bizarre shooting happened right in the shaking eyes of the watchman, who was to later be bundled in a corner in the home compound.

The assailants then fled immediately.

Police arrived later

A resident who had heard gunshots alerted police officers who arrived to find the suspects had fled.

However, they found seven spent cartridges; two inside the slain lawyers house and five in the compound.
