Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko is the most Compassionate Kenyan Government Official Whose Heart Is Touched by The Needy. His philanthropic character dates way back before he became a politician.

His kind deeds and mercy for the needy won the hearts of many people from Makandara constituency voted for him when he was just 35 years old. He continued to soar high to Nairobi Senator and now the Nairobi County Governor. On Tuesday, Mike did a commendable work of rescuing a desperate couple.

Sonko rescue team shopping for Murage’s Wife

His love for people is great and he has a sensitive ear for sensitive matters affecting the needy and the case of Boniface Murage caught the eardrums of the philanthropist.

Boniface Murage was arraigned in court on Monday over an attempt to smuggle his daughter out of KNH following a pending bill of Ksh. 56,000. The culprit pleaded guilty citing that he had to use creativity to get his wife and child out of the hospital since he could not afford the money.

Governor Mike Sonko has responded accordingly to the situation and visited the man’s wife, Agnes Murage, at KNH and cleared the couple’s pending bill.

After she was released from the hospital, The Nairobi Governor, Mike Sonko took her to a supermarket and spoiled her with a shopping treat for her and her newborn baby.

 Mike Sonko showed compassion for Boniface, showing that the love for his daughter made the 22-year-old break the law.

“He is only 22 years and jobless but the love for his daughter forced him to mess the law just like any father,” stated Sonko.

The story of Boniface arrest ignited a lot of emotion from Kenyans who also shared Boniface’s frustrations.

Boniface was intercepted by security guards at the hospital while carrying a blue bag on February 16, 2019, who forcefully opened it only to find a baby.

Appearing before Resident Magistrate Muthoni Nzibe, the father disclosed that he feared his wife and daughter would stay at the facility forever if he did not act, hence his motivation for sneaking his daughter out.
