Paul Pogba is in the form of his life almost never leaving the pitch without scoring or assisting a teammate. At Chelsea on Monday night, he did both propelling the Reds towards the FA Cup quarterfinal.
Juan Mata spoke of his teammate Pogba: ”He’s very, very complete. He’s got physique, he’s got quality, he’s got a pass, he can go box to box. He’s one of the best. Today he showed why. He assisted the cross for the first goal, scored the second one. Even in the second half, 80, 85 minutes he was still defending, going forwards.”
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer couldn’t help praising his No 6, either: ”He had a tough game against PSG, but he was probably our best player then (at Chelsea). He had two or three players around him all the time.”
The head coach deployed Pogba and Ander Herrera in an advanced role as the No 6 was told to drift to the left channel. The two were among the best United players on the day and both were awarded high marks.
