Siaya Senator James Orengo now claims that Deputy President William Ruto has no idea on what the referendum is all about despite him oppossing it.
According to Orengo, “Ruto has not read the proposals of the referendum. He claimed that it is unfortunate that the DP is opposing what he is yet to read.”
In addition he said, “Telling Kenyans that we want to create positions in this new initiative. I think if you read that document it has a lot more to do with building a better nation.
“The only difference between me and him is that I have read that document more carefully but he has not read that document at all.”
Orengo was speaking during a memorial of Former Vice President Jaramogi Odinga at the St. Stephen’s Cathedral Church in Kisumu.
However the DP urged leaders to stop the politics and concentrate on the delivery of services as per the promises they made before they were elected into various offices.
He further reminded leaders of the opposition that Kenyans want to hear more about job creation and not a referendum to create positions
