Arsene Wenger reveals why he reject Real Madrid

On more than one occasion, Arsene Wenger has had the opportunity to take over at The 69-year-old is currently without a club and has stated what is important for him as a coach. “For me, the coach’s work has to have an impact on three different levels,” Wenger said in Monaco ahead of the Laureus World Sports Awards. “First, in the careers of the players that you work with. “Secondly, in the style of the team. “And, thirdly, in the structure of the club for which he works. For me, that aspect is very important as I felt that it was not the time to leave [Arsenal] because we were still developing the structure.”

When asked about whether he would like to manage Los Blancos in the future, Wenger was a little coy. “I can’t answer you because I don’t know what’s going to happen in the future,” he responded. “My job is to get the best out of the players and I hope to continue doing that in the future, but first I have to get the best out of myself and I’m now looking for the best way to develop.”

The experienced coach also gave his prediction on Atletico Madrid’s upcoming Champions League tie with Juventus, stating that the Italians are favourites in his eyes. “I think that from watching both teams, Juventus are the favourite,” his answer began. “Although for Atletico this is a special year because the final will be played in their stadium. “For me, Juventus were the most convincing team from the first few months of the season.”
