Manchester United are ready to sell £75million striker Romelu Lukaku as they look to bring in one of Serie A’s top hit men.
Mirror Football can reveal that talks have already begun with Juentus and Inter Milan over potential moves for either Juve’s Paulo Dybala and Inter’s Mauro Icardi.
Both Argentinian forwards are up for grabs having fallen out with their respective managers Massimilano Allegri and Luciano Spalletti.
Although United have yet to make a decision on who will replace the sacked Jose Mourinho permanently it hasn’t stopped them making plans for the summer transfer window.
A mobile goal scoring striker is a priority and Dybala and Icardi, who was last week stripped of the club captaincy, come into that category.
And in a sweetener to try and absorb the £100m fee both players will command the Old Trafford hierarchy are prepared to include Belgium international Lukaku in any deal.
It’s a situation the former Everton and Chelsea striker is aware of and it’s believed he wouldn’t be against the switch.
He would prefer to join Juventus who have over the past few seasons been consistently Italy’s top trophy winning side.
Under interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Lukaku has fallen down the pecking order, the Norwegian preferring the pace of England star Marcus Rashford through the middle.
United are also ready to make a summer move for Benfica’s exciting teenager Joao Felix after compiling extensive reports on a player who is seen as a long term replacement for Juan Mata.
Felix has attracted the interest of a number of other leading European clubs and his skills have also been endorsed by former United star Christiano Ronaldo who believes his fellow countryman is heading for the big time.
Felix who has nine Portugal Under 21 caps is likely to be called up into the senior squad and could be involved in this summer’s Nations Cup semi-finals.
United are also amongst a clutch of clubs keeping tabs on Lyon’s 22-year-old midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.
