Confusion is brewing in the ruling Jubilee Party, all thanks to Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria.
Kuria has decided to take on Majority leader Aden Duale head on and it seems like nothing is going to stop him in his quest to dislodge Duale from the influential Majority Leader position.
Kuria has dreams of becoming Kenya’s next head of state and with this his mind, he certainly has to play his cards right.
Kuria though feels that Aden Duale will prove to be a great barrier in his quest to finally take control of this Country and has already initiated plans to cut his wings.
The power that Aden Duale wields is massive. As the Majority Leader of the National Assembly of Kenya, he is closer to the corridors of power, power that Kuria wants.
The MP started a push to remove Aden Duale from his top seat and this has made some Jubilee politicians so uncomfortable.
Known as a man unafraid to speak his mind, maybe they know that indeed, he is a threat.
Members of Parliament who spoke to the Star said that Kuria has no good plans. His intention is to destroy Jubilee from within. James Gakuya, the MP for Embakasi North MP :
“Kuria appears to be having a personal issue with Duale. The Jubilee party has no issue at all with its leadership in the National Assembly,” he said.
He further advised Moses Kuria to be more diplomatic and find a better way to address his issues with the party’s leadership.
Kuria has been throwing barbs at the Jubilee Government. For instance, he mocked the Housing aspect of the Big 4 Agenda suggesting that it only looks good on paper.
Speaking at various media outlets now, Moses Kuria has repeated that he is interested in the 2022 race.
Interestingly, his Facebook page has graphics labeled ‘Moses Kuria 2022’.
While speaking of the plan to remove Duale, Kuria denied it being a solo opinion. He said that many other legislators across the divide also think that Aden Duale is not serious and makes ‘jokes’ instead of handling matters seriously.
