The self declared General Miguna Miguna of National Resistance Movement (NRM) has announced his plans to come back to Kenya in April.

The fiery lawyer cum politician took to Twitter to let the world know of his return to Kenya from Canada. Miguna Miguna had been deported to Canada in a dramatic fashion last March even though he is a Kenyan citizen by birth.

In his Tweet, Miguna Miguna failed to mention the exact date of his return “Pursuant to rights vested upon me by God, my mother, the Constitution of Kenya, 2010, all applicable laws and ORDERS issued by Justices Mwita, Kimaru, Odunga, Aburili and Wakiaga, I hereby announce that I will return in April, 2019 on a date to be announced.”

In 2018, Miguna Miguna was deported twice after falling out of favor with President Uhuru Kenyatta and his administration. At the time, Interior CS Fred Mataiang’i argued Miguna had surrendered his Kenyan citizenship and needed to apply for it afresh.
