Child abductors attempt to kidnap MP’s son

Speaking on threats to his life, Kimilili MP DidmusBarasa has made a shocking revelation that there was an attempt to kidnap his son, a crime that was thwarted by a teacher at the school. While filing a report with the OCS and DCI at Parliament on Thursday, Barasa disclosed that an unknown man under the disguise of being sent by the MP tried to pick his son up from school.

Suspicious

The teacher at Consolata Primary School, later on, insisted on calling the legislator to confirm that he was indeed sent by the M.P  to pick the child.

“A few days ago, I received a call from my son’s teacher from Consolata primary school informing me of an incident where a person masqueraded to have been sent by me to pick my son when the teacher insisted on calling me beforehand, the man took off,” he conveyed. He added that he had received threats from unknown people on his personal and official email accounts. Barasa referenced a separate incident that took place at his home in Kimilili where a group of men vandalized his gate.

“All but one managed to escape,” he recalled. DCI stated that the man whom they had apprehended was a drunkard.

The MP sought to remind the officers that a few months prior, he had been attacked and robbed at gunpoint, a matter that was reported to the station where one person was arrested and taken to court.

The case is still ongoing in court.

“Kindly take this as an official report and investigate I am available for any other clarifications that you may need from me,” he stated.
