As investigations into the Londiani Plane crash take center stage, we can now reveal the pilot of the ill fated plane. The plane, a Cessna 206-5-Y BSE, crashed around 11 AM near Makutano Forest killing all five passengers.
It has now been revealed that the pilot was Captain Kevin Mutava. He was the only Kenyan in the plane. The four passengers, two women and two men were foreign tourists who were traveling from Maasai Mara Game Reserve to Lodwar town in Turkana.

Captain Mutava studied at the American Epic Flight Academy. He received his most recent certification as a commercial multi-engine pilot in January 2018. He is licensed to fly the Cessna C-172 and the Piper PA-44 planes.
According to witnesses, the plane crashed a tree after developing mechanical problems. Efforts by locals to rescue the passengers did not bore any fruits.
Our prayers are with his family during this trying moment. May he RIP!
