Liverpool FC forward Sadio Mane trolls Manchester United during PSG loss

Sadio Mane appeared to revel in Manchester United’s defeat by Paris Saint-Germain last night as he took to Instagram with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men trailing by two goals to nil.

United fell behind to Presnel Kimpembe’s volley shortly after half-time before Kylian Mbappe doubled the visitors’ lead on the hour mark.

Former United man Angel Di Maria, who was jeered throughout the encounter, assisted both goals.

The Reds must produce a miraculous performance in Paris on March 6 if they are to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the first time five years.

Liverpool’s Senegalese forward Mane took to Instagram in the closing stages of the match to upload a picture of his television, featuring the scoreline in United’s game against PSG.

A minute later he uploaded another picture of him laughing during a Liverpool training session accompanied by the annoying laughing-crying emoji.

He has since deleted the initial post.

United’s defeat by PSG was their heaviest home loss in the club’s European history. Never before had they lost a European game at Old Trafford by more than a single goal.

“It’s a reality check,” Solskjaer said after the match. “You can see the strength they have when they put those players in as you talk about but that’s the level we want to get to, and we are looking to strengthen the squad.

“And then again we have so many young players to take a step up for next season.”
