How Gor Can Easily Beat Petro Atletico of Angola

The Angolan club Petro Atletico will be in the run today for a win after losing 2-1 against NA Hussein Dey in Algeria.

Gor Mahia, however, amazed many after a perfect display against Zamalek in a group D opener of the Caf Confederation Cup, a game which gave them 4-2 victory against Zamalek.

Zamalek was the favourites into the match and after they had scored an early goal, many did not think Gor can bounce back, which they did and bagged 4 goals against the opponent’s two leading them to the top of the group.
While Petro Atletico put a brave fight against the Algerian side, they ended up losing. As it stands, Gor Mahia and Hussein Dey both have three points and will be facing a hard tests as they will be visiting wounded teams in Angola and Egypt respectively.
Ten points will see the Kenyan champions to the next round. Therefore, having gained three points, Gor needs to bag the remaining seven points starting with the match against Petro Atletico.
K’Ogalo will also be making history if they manage to qualify for the next round.
However, Gor will be playing in Angola without its stars Dennis Oliech(injury), Jacques Tusiyenge (suspension), Ernest Wendo (knock), Wellington Ochieng (Malaria) and Philomen Otieno.
The absence of the star players together with the club’s poor performance on away matches could see them not making a good start.
Petro Atletico, on the other side, have shown a good play in home matches, winning four of the five home matches with one against the South African side SuperSport United.

Gor, therefore, needs to use these three factors to help them bag maximum points in the game against Petro Atletico- Apply tactical approach, make use of chances and avoid costly mistakes.
Gor Mahia’s coach has to acknowledge these points to his players for the team to achieve his goal of qualifying to the next round.
