A woman in Nyandarua County is nursing wounds at a local hospital after her husband allegedly pummeled her for preparing few chapatis. Sources understands the man of the house expected the mother of two to cook 20 chapatis but to his surprise, she only prepared eight.
According to sources, the lady used half a kilogram of flour to cook the scrumptious meal but according to her husband, this was pure wastage of resources. The couple’s neighbours said the husband has a tendency of going crazy over food. He often assaults the wife after arguing over meals.
Apparently on one occasion, the man beat up his wife after finding out their children ate his avocado. During a different altercation, the man reportedly assaulted his wife for not adding soup to a meal of matumbo she had cooked for him.“Sometime back, the suspect went home with three avocados.
His wife and children ate one. When the man realised one of his fruits had been eaten, he mercilessly beat up his spouse. The second time, he came home with matumbo bought at KSh 50. He beat up the woman on claims that the matumbo did not have soup.
And most recently, he beat her up over claims that the flour he bought should have produced 20 chapatis and not eight,” a neighbor revealed. It is understood the victim who is currently unconscious is pregnant. The man was arrested and locked up at Ol Kalou Police station.
