Ambassador Muhoro proves he was not rejected by Malaysia

To crash false public opinion, Kenya’s ambassador to Malaysia Ndegwa Muhoro has revealed to journlists of his landing in the the coutry for his duties.

“Despite rumours that he was rejected, he has arrived in Malaysia as ambassador and is expected to assume the role,” said his handlers.

Muhoro says that he hasn’t received information that his appointment has been rejected by the host government.

Last week, sections of the media reported that the former Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) boss had been rejected by Malaysia where he was to begin his new ambassadorial job.

Others who were said to have been rejected by their host countries include Johnson Kimani Ondieki and Paddy Ahenda for Turkey and Qatar.

Sources in the executive reportedly said the diplomats have not reported to work because President Uhuru Kenyatta is yet to commission them.

The ambassadors were endorsed by the legislators although the character of some of them were called into question, with Opposition members walking out in protest

Foreign Affairs Principal Secretary Macharia Kamau commenting on the rejection said the ambassadors would report to their stations anytime, dismissing claims that they had been rejected by the host countries.

“They have all been accepted and they will be going (to their stations) in the next few weeks. We are simply observing protocol and that is normal,” Mr Kamau said.
