Man Arrested After Wife Found Dead in City Lodging

Emmanuel Owuor has been placed in police custody as the prime suspect in the death of his wife, whose dead body was found in a city lodging.

Owuor is being suspected to have murdered his wife Grace Adhiambo on Friday. The couples are said to be living separately after problems arose in their marriage and people believed that they were on course of reconciliation.

The investigator, Joseph Wanjohi stated when speaking in court that the man had booked a lodging room at GNK Hamza Hotel Lodge, which ios located along Jogoo Road on February 7 and had invited his wife to meet him there.

The workers at the hotel reported that Adhiambo checked in but didn’t leave the facility.

The police reports that Owuor allegedly ran away from the facility after realizing that Adhiambo had died.

While presenting evidence to court, Wanjohi reported that the police managed to arrest Owuor that Friday after the incident.

The suspect pleaded before Makadara Law Court Magistrate Heston Nyaga to be released with the claims that Anyango died of hypertension after collapsing in the room.

He said, “Please release me because I’m hurting too. My wife is dead. I did not kill her because she had hypertension and she just collapsed in the room.”

Owuor was remanded at Buru Buru Police Station for eight days. His case will be mentioned on February 22.
