Why De Gea sees PSG as the favourites ahead of face-off

With Manchester United taking on Paris Saint Germain in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16, David De Gea has insisted that the French champions are favorites in the clash.

Manchester United have been handed an advantage with manager Thomas Tuchel losing Neymar for both legs to a foot injury, while Edinson Cavani limped out of the 1-0 win against Bordeaux on Saturday with a thigh injury and looks set to miss the first leg at least. United have also seen a huge turn around in form with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer winning 10 of 11 games as caretaker manager.

De Gea still believes that PSG have an advantage over United in the two-legged clash, β€œIt will be a very intense match, a great match to play, very special. PSG is a great team with some of the best players in the world. They are the favorites. But we will be very motivated. We all want to play this particular match and win it. On this kind of match, it’s the small details that make the difference. It will be very tight. I hope these details will work in our favor.”

Manchester United welcome Paris Saint Germain on Tuesday 12th February at Old Trafford in an 11 PM (EAT) kick off.
