LGBTQ has been a hot issue in the media for some decades. This debate made headlines as the former US president Barack Obama passed a law legalizing same sex marriage in the US. Most countries have followed in his footsteps passing or at the very least amending same sex marriages.
In Africa however, the reverse is true. Regional leaders have refused to give in to foreign pressure to legalize same sex marriage. Others have gone a step further to say that same sex marriage is a ‘non-issue’ in Africa.
This controversial subject has picked up a new thread as ladies have come out to swear never to be lesbians even if men are trash (literally). In a tweet post, one Dory(@thiskindgirl) tweeted “I can’t be a lesbian. If men are trash then I become the garbage collector”
