Revealed: The amount Manchester United will pay Molde for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

It would now be a huge shock if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wasn't handed the full-time job

10 wins from 11 matches, and zero defeats. What a start it’s been for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as interim manager of Manchester United.

In fact, the Norwegian is currently enjoying a stunning 22 match unbeaten run in the dugout, having gone 11 games undefeated at Molde FK prior to his December switch to Man Utd.

He’s won a whopping 19 of those 22 clashes, with Burnley, Odd and Sarpsborg 08 the only three teams to take points off a Solskjaer-led side since the hazy days of August. Meanwhile, Molde haven’t won since he departed two months ago.

The Sun now reports that Solskjaer will be named the next permanent Man Utd manager, although the club won’t announce the appointment until the summer.

If, as expected, the 45-year-old is confirmed as Jose Mourinho’s permanent successor, then how much would Man Utd have to shell out to Molde for his services?

The Red Devils have already given the Norwegian side £1.8million to borrow their boss, and Sky Sports states that they would have to pay an additional £7.5m to secure him on a full-time basis.

Solskjaer has already eroded a sizeable points difference between United and the top-four with his troops jumping above rivals Arsenal and Chelsea into the final Champions League spot after collected 25 points from a possible.

Solskjaer now has a huge three games on the horizon; starting with PSG on Tuesday in the Champions League, followed by an FA Cup clash away to Chelsea at the Bridge, then Liverpool at Old Trafford in a match United will hope boosts their own top-four prospects, while simultaneously puncturing their foes’ title hopes.
