Arrowboy Reveals How His Father Used to Beat His Mother Infront of Him!

Arrowboy is one of East Africa’s freshest superstars that hit the ground running with hits such as Shikisha and Jango Love.

Indeed, very little is known about him, despite being one of the latest Kenyan music maestros to transcend boundaries and cultivate a following in places such as Tanzania, Uganda, and even Seychelles!

In a recent interview with Massawe Japani of Radio Jambo, the Digi Digi hitmaker revealed his early childhood with an abusive father.

Born in Uganda, his family moved to Kenya and settled in Huruma, where he recalled the violent nature and tendencies of a frustrated father.

Arrowboy disclosed that his father was violent mainly because he felt inadequate and unable to provide enough for his family financially.

And who bore all the brunt of his father’s violent nature?

Arrowboy’s mother.

Hailing from Uganda, Arrobowy’s mother finally decided to leave his father, only coming back for him later after she had secured herself; and this is how she was able to cater to his education.

Moreover, the Jango love hitmaker further revealed the hardships of life in his earlier years which forced him and his siblings to take up odd forms of work in Eastlands so that they could make ends meet.

Arrowboy even recalls selling scrap metal in his neighbourhood so that they can get some cash for food and basic essentials!

When quizzed whether he had buried the hatchet with his father, the superstar revealed that he had already forgiven him, and even though they are not as close as he would want them to be, he still respects him.

While closing the interview, Arrowboy stated that he had high expectations this year, and is looking to drop an album sometime in 2019.

He just recently released a collaboration called ‘Liquor’ with Jamaican superstar Cecile which is poised to do well on the charts.
