The outspoken Embakasi MP Hon. Babu Owino, is a man whose life and style of leadership entails controversy. Babu, a brave lad who never fears to utter anything towards the who-is-who in the society. Perhaps one would conclude that he enjoys colliding with the big fish in politics.
Recently, he posted on social media while expressing support for his close friend Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine, Uganda’s new face of opposition who has revealed intentions to vie against Museveni in 2021.
On February 3rd, Babu was at it again. This time with the head of state of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. In his Facebook page, Babu wrote, “Museveni must be out by ballot or bullet. Bobi Wine for president.” It is a post that attracted mixed reactions from Kenyan netizens.
Since Babu Owino started working closely with Ugandan MP Bobi Wine is when his tribulations with president Museveni began. Museveni later banned the youthful Kenyan MP from stepping his feet in Ugandan soil. The ban was widely critisized by citizens of both Kenya and Uganda. No wonder Babu and Museveni are not in good terms.
Museveni had already lost credibility in Kenya after Hon Babo Owino together with BOBI WINE making big rallies and undressing Museveni’s lies, he doesn’t want to loose Tanzania too, hahaha bobi’s giving him sleepless nights …#PeoplePower #MuseveniMustGo #OlutaloNgaLuwedde

In a letter from the Ugandan minister of internal affairs Haji Abubakar to Kenya’s CS foreign Affairs Monica Juma, Babu is accused of undermining President Yoweri Museveni’s government.
“Our attention is drawn to the joint subversive activities of Robert Kyaglanyi popularly known as Bobi Wine and his Kenyan counterpart Babu to undermine the legitimately elected government of the Republic of Uganda,” read the letter.
