Following the recent launch of the controversial beauty pageant in Uganda dubbed Miss Curvy Uganda aimed at promoting tourism in Uganda that has left many women activists and religious leaders pouring out bitter accusations to the organizers calling it disrespect and disregarding the women in Uganda, the organizers are yet be engaged in legal battles.
However the pageant organizers are also in hot soup for using NTV Kenya’s presenter and model Grace Msalme’s photo on the poster illegally with out her consent who has sought legal action for damages caused. It’s believed that Msalme seeks to slap the organizers a KES 36 million fine once legal action goes in her favor.

“I am currently pursuing legal action and remedies against miss curvy Uganda” stated part of her statement she posted on her twitter.
Your bold step doesn't end with you. It goes a long way into creating awareness among our young sisters that they should not allow their bodies to be used as marketing objects. They should invest more in knowledge and skills not just looks. That way they won't settle for less.

Unlike other Ugandans who are so challenging the beauty contest, the president of Uganda H.E Kaguta Yoweri Museveni has given the organizers green light and has told critics to back off the pageant which he says will promote tourism.
