Brookhouse Scholarships For Goldalyn & Olive

Remember the golden girl, Goldalyn Kakuya, who, against all odds emerged the best girl in 2017 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education? Well, she, alongside Olive Mwea who emerged the best girl in 2018 have now been awarded scholarships to study at the Kenyatta family owned Brookhouse school.

Kakuya who made news in her year 2017, topped in the KCPE exams with 455 marks out of a possible 500 marks, while Mwea scored 453 marks out of a possible 500 marks in the 2018 exam. The two girls were awarded the scholarships by First Lady Margret Kenyatta during the opening of a library at the school’s Runda branch that took place Yesterday, Thursday, February 7.

“Today I had the honor of awarding secondary school scholarships at Brookhouse School to Goldalyn Tanga and Olive Wachira who achieved first place in the 2017 and 2018 KCPE respectively,” said the First Lady.

Goldalyn had been selected to join Kenya High School but settled for Brookhouse School after her visit to State House where she was hosted by the President, Uhuru Kenyatta.

Passing with flying colors brought good tidings to Goldalyn as the president promised to support her education; heĀ  asked her to make a choice on the school she wanted to go to after she said she had received several offers from schools coveted by many pupils. Mwea was to join Alliance Girls High School in January 2018 but she too opted to join Brookhouse school. The two who are in different years of study, cheerfully posed for a photo in smiles with the first lady and Education Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed.
