Fake news..Qatar denies rejecting ambassador Paddy Ahenda

Fake news has been a growing topic in Kenya from disappointed news consumers who have termed the practice as ‘Githeri journalism’, ‘gutter media’ and other displeasing names.In a fresh clab back, a media outlet has been set straight on its report involving a foreign nation.

In reference to the news on the main page of the People Daily Newspaper, under the headline Fate ‘7 seven Kenyan envoys in limbo’,the Embassy of the STAYE of Qatar, Nairobi has rejected the sensational lies reported by the media.

Over the story, newspapers alluded that the state of Qatar is among the countries that allegedly rejected the nomination of the envoys.

In correction of wrong data, the Embassy has informed Kenyans the following;The state of Qatar approved his nomination on the 10th of October 2018, which was in writing.

That the ministry of foreign affairs of Kenya wrote a note verbal to the Embassy on the 4th of September 2018 regarding the nomination of H.E Ambassador Paddy Ahenda.

The Embassy therefore has requested respected newspapers and all the other online news platform that carried the story to confirm their stories before publishing them and adhere to actual facts.
