After a difficult January transfer window where they were only able to bring in Denis Suarez on loan, Arsenal could yet again be restricted with what they can do in the market when it reopens in the summer.
According to the Daily Mail, Unai Emery will only have £45m to spend which will come as a huge blow with the north London club needing significant reinforcements if they are to challenge for the Premier League title next season.
Meanwhile, the Daily Mirror reports Emery is keen to link up again with Paris Saint-Germain’s Adrien Rabiot.
The duo worked with each other when Emery was in the Parc des Princes dugout and, with the 23-year-old’s contract set to expire in the summer, he could be a very cheap and realistic target given the dilemma Arsenal find themselves in who would bring much to their midfield.
I’d take Rabiot at Arsenal. Probably in the small minority that rates him highly. He can play multiple roles in midfield well. Very good at progressing the ball. Will really help our build up play. Free agent too. His wages are high but it will be a great deal should we make it.
