Once in a while miracles happen and life can be a bed of roses preaching and breeding peace in the uniquest unions.
History was made on Sunday when the wheels of Pope Francis’s flight from Rome touched down in Abu Dhabi. He has since attended the Presidential Palace, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and spoke at an interfaith meeting at the Founder’s Memorial.
Francis met with Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the Presidential Palace. The three discussed “enhancing cooperation” and “important initiatives to achieve peace,” the crown prince tweeted.
With great pride, I received two copies of the Human Fraternity Document from His Holiness Pope Francis & His Eminence Dr Ahmad Al-Tayyeb of Al-Azhar Al Sharif. The UAE will continue to be a beacon of love & tolerance and a place where different cultures & civilisations converge. pic.twitter.com/Lp51VTfIKi
