Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has today  sent a humble appeal to Inspector General Joseph Boinett to address the issue of land grabbing.

Sonko said that they should not allow  the junior police to ruin the face of the institution by protecting land grabbers.

The Governor today exposed the rigid grabbers saying that he will deal with them as it should be.

Sonko highlighted some of the incidents saying that within a week under police assistance,  someone grabbed the front part of lavington secondary school and he’s now putting a petrol station.

He also mentioned that the buildings  are being constructed without the county & Nema approvals which is against the law.

Apart from that, the contractors are said to be  guarded by the police.

Sonko also revealed that In south c, someone under the heavy guard of the police is forcefully passing a sewer line through private residences.

Also another powerful Grabber under the guard of 3 armed APs grabbed Asma lane and put a private gate blocking the road from being used by the public and converted it to be his private parking.

The Governor has made it clear that he will not condone such acts and therefore issued a warning to those who are involved in such unlawful acts.

Here is his full message

I’m kindly and humbly appealing to my good hardworking friends IG Boinnet, DIG Mbugua and DIG Gabow not to allow a few of your juniors to spoil your good names and the good images of the institutions you head.
