Ever since Wiper Democratic Party chair Kivutha Kibwana stepped down from the position in the name of ending an abusive marriage with Kalonzo Musyoka claiming his development agenda was being frustrated, plenty of dust has been clouding the party in an arising fierce war.

Loyalty seems to be taking another level in Kenyan politics as demonstrated recently by ODM party who showed no mercy to Aisha Jumwa and Suleiman Dori when they dared follow Ruto.

Wiper party in its feud with Kibwana is not only holding meetings without him but also annoying Kivutha’s bodyguard to the point of causing physical aggression to manifest.

A Security officer attached to Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana has been accused of attacking and assaulting former Wote/Nziu MCA Sammy Maseka in a burial ceremony in Itandi village, Makueni constituency on Saturday.

According to eyewitnesses, Maseka, a firm critic of Governor Kibwana stood in the burial where he called on the governor to respect Wiper leader kalonzo Musyoka saying that he (Kibwana) was not an equal to the former vice president and that he can’t fit in his shoes.

It was these words that infuriated Muinde Nzioka, one of Kibwana’s security detail and punched him severally leading to collapse of the former ward rep.

Makueni MP Daniel Maanzo paid visit to former Ward Rep Sammy Maseka at a hospital in Wote.

He was rushed to a private hospital at Wote town where he is recuperating.

When interviewed Maseka said, “When I was attacked the governor wasn’t present. I think the guard had been sent to specifically attack and silence me”.

Maseka-Kibwana relationship has been sour. The now hospitalized vocal Maseka sponsored a motion that led to impeachment of Kibwana during the first county government regime.

Makueni Police Commander Joseph Naipeiyan said the case was reported under OB43/2/2/2019.

Do you think the body guard on his own or was following orders from Kivutha Kibwana?
