PHOTOS: MP Jaguar, Chipukeezy jump in to rescue needy students

NACADA director Chipukeey, today joined MP Jaguar to issue Bursaries to the needy students in his constituency.

The MP has been on the frontline to fight for children’s right to education as well as make sure that they get the help they need to access education.

MP Jaguar believes that it is unfair to lock deserving students out of education over something [school fees] that can be looked for gradually.

During the form one admissions earlier this year, Jaguar urged the Ministry of Education, through CS Amina Mohamed, to ask the school heads to allow deserving students, who are financially challenged, to join Form One.

He also encouraged the students’ and  parents to try and ensure that they raise the fees as the school sessions continue.

Although bursaries might only cover for  a few students, these funds are a great contribution to ensuring that the number of students who drop out of school due to financial burden is reduced.

Chipukeezy on his end has been working closely with schools in the war against drug abuse.

Today the NACADA director engaged the youth to organize themselves in groups and help fight the increasing abuse of drugs.
