Former Arsenal striker Charlie Nicholas has branded the club’s transfer policy as a joke despite a deadline day announcement of Denis Suarez.
Nicholas has questioned why the North London club has failed to bring in any defenders in the January transfer window.
“I’m happy with anybody at the moment if I’m being honest,” Nicholas told Sky Sports.
“This Arsenal transfer policy is an absolute joke, it really is a joke ever since David Dein left the building.
“I’m confused because we all [know] we need defenders, they’re hard to get.”
“We’re the ninth richest club and we can only get loan deals. I don’t care if the manager likes this player or not, please Arsenal, get some defenders in!”
