Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has today called out Governor Mike Sonko for taking credit over a road project he says he initiated.
The Vocal Member of parliament stated that it is him who approached the Director General KURRA Eng.Kinoti for the construction of Utawala Benedictor-kinca road.
He also mentioned that and anyone(Governor) claiming that it’s his work is a misplaced priority and a fat lie.
Mike Sonko yesterday said that his County Engineers team together with Area MCA Hon Karani were at Embakasi East constructing 3 roads with one of them being the mentioned road by Babu Owino.
On his in facebook post, Sonko said that the construction of roads that he was overseeing are Utawala-Bernedita Kincar-githunguri road which will be the main road Linking Utawala Ring road which is under construction.
He also added that his government is also digging Utawala Community borehole and they have proposed utawala fagilia ground borehole which will be used to facilitate free flow of water to the Utawala community.
The roads above, Sonko says will have proper drainage system, Public walk way Street lightning to facilitate a 24/7 hour economy.
Following Babu Owino’s message however some Kenyans were quick to point out that Sonko is claiming credit for the same.
