Man Utd Squad Vs Burnley Revealed As David De Gea Returns

Chris Smalling could make his first appearance under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after he was pictured arriving at Manchester United‘s team hotel ahead of Tuesday night’s game against Burnley.

A foot injury has sidelined Smalling since mid-December but Solskjaer confirmed on Monday that the England defender is in contention to return after a week back in training.

However, photographers spotted no sign of Anthony Martial, Eric Bailly, Ashley Young, Antonio Valencia, Matteo Darmian and Scott McTominay as the United coach pulled up outside the Hilton Garden Hotel on Tuesday morning.

The only other seemingly absent first-team players were Marouane Fellaini and Marcos Rojo and both men are currently injured.

McTominay was demoted to the under-23s for last Friday’s Premier League International Cup game against PSG, while Valencia and Darmian have started just once under Solskjaer.

Martial, Bailly and Young all played in the impressive FA Cup win over Arsenal on Friday night and there was no suggestion from Solskjaer on Monday that any of the three players were injury doubts for the visit of Burnley.

Luke Shaw wasn’t pictured turning up but that is because he was already there when our photographer arrived. Shaw has a habit of staying over at United’s team hotel the night before home matches.
