Deputy President Dr William Ruto’s close political ally, the Kimilili Constituency Member of Parliament Didmus Barasa has lost his father, Mzee Richard Makona.
Through his official Twitter account, Barasa notified people of his father’s demise, urging Kenyans to pray with his family.
He however didn’t disclose the cause of his father’s death.
“I lost my Old Man, Mzee Richard Makona. Burial arrangements scheduled on Saturday.Pray with us,”read his post.

Barasa is one of Ruto’s staunch supporters from Western Kenya who is until now championing for Ruto’s 2022 presidential election.
He has been walking around with Ruto whilst criticizing the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his ODM counterpart Raila Odinga, questioning the role of Raila in the current government.
The burial arrangements will be held on Saturday, where 2022 succession politics is speculated to carry the day.
