“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet…” Ruto breaks the silence on political uproar

The Deputy President William Ruto accompanied by other leaders attended a church service at Presbyterian Church of East Africa (PCEA) Enchorro Emuny, Ngong, Kajiado County.

The Deputy President who was accompanied by Kajiado Governor Joseph Ole Lenku among other local leaders was of few words of blessings and encouraging to the congregation.

The Deputy President urged the leaders to support the government to ensure that the development agenda is achieved.

He asked the people to forget about elections and turn their attention towards the development agenda.

The Deputy President ,who declared himself as an Evangelist has in recent times decided to find solace in the church with numerous opposition uprising to block his ascension to power.

The Deputy President William Ruto has acted tactfully by not engaging his political foes who are increasing each and every day.

In fact in efforts to cool down the on going political heat, the Deputy President held a closed door meeting with his allies. Al though the details have not been fully released it is believed that DP Ruto asked them to shun from early politics.

All this new wave of politics is as a result of CS Matiang’i’s new rule. CS Matiang’i was appointed by President Uhuru Kenyatta to supervise all the government projects and report directly to him.

This raised eyebrows as most people were terming that move as a demotion to the Deputy President who has been in a distance relationship with his boss.
